Field Hockey defeated the University of New England 2-0 to advance their record to 13-4. In the CCC, Endicott field hockey is undefeated.
There was no scoring action until the final four minutes of the first half. Assisted by Abby Carter, sophomore Sydney Poulin scored a goal to put Endicott up 1-0 going into the second half.
Poulin scored a monumental second goal midway through the fourth quarter, with an assist from Kristen McCarthy. This goal was able to insure the Gull’s fate over the Nor’easters, finishing the game with a 2-0 victory.
Along with great offensive team play, the defense showed an impressive effort to shut out the University of New England.
UNE took six shots on goal, four of which were saved by goaltender Taylor Farrin, and two shots were defensive saves racked in by Emily Graham.
The win added to Endicott field hockey’s nine-game winning streak as we near the end of the regular season. The Gulls will play at Roger Williams University on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00 PM.
