On Friday night, the women’s ice hockey team defeated Salve Regina by a dominating score of 4-1.
The match started out with a goal from the opposition, but the Gulls didn’t let this affect their momentum.
In the second quarter, Salve incurred a tripping penalty, giving Endicott a power play. This allowed Jade Meier to go in for the goal, tying up the game for Endicott, 1-1.
Early in the third, Kaylee Liberty brought the puck down the ice and passed it to Ashlie Jones to obtain a goal to put Endicott on top.
On another man advantage, Lauren Ferraiuolo dropped in another goal for the Blue and Green, shortly followed by a second goal from Jade Meier. The three third period tallies propelled the Gulls to a clean 4-1 victory.
Goalie Michaela O’Brien was a dominating force in net, allowing only one goal and saving a total of fourteen shots.
This win advanced Endicott’s record to 6-1, and they’re looking to advance it further on Saturday, November 23 at 2:00 PM when they face off against the Salve Seahawks once more.
