As the end of the 2018-2019 school year is winding down, there is still a steady stream of bustling activity on campus. This end of the year hustle is happening at the new Samuel C. Wax Academic Center.
In the opening days of the new AC, there has been an endless stream of students and faculty filtering through the freshly painted hallways. Students occupy the bright sitting areas as Professors decorate their bare offices.
Inside the new Academic Center sits the schools of Communication, Education, Hospitality, and Arts and Sciences. Each school has its own separate wing with updated classrooms and technology. So far, the feedback has been positive.
The center is a subject of conversation around a campus that is so used to constant construction. Visually, it is evident that the students are enthused about what the new AC has to offer: classrooms complete with desks that include cupholders, and seating areas for breaks between classes.
Abrianna Di Stefano ‘22 followed up with the Observer about her thoughts on the new building. “I love how modern it is… the new desks are really comfy and I like how each school has their own hangout area,” Di Stefano said.
Surely, the new Academic Center will be hosting many happy Endicott students for years to come. Although it is now a new source of excitement with it’s updated furniture and architecture, the new center will continue to be an excitement for all who continue to enjoy it.
